Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to oversee the implementation and installation of new production lines. This role involves managing on-site contractors, addressing installation queries, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the project implementation and installation of new production lines.Manage on-site contractors and address installation queries.Procure equipment, design specifications, and oversee bid processes.Review quotes and technical specifications.Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery.Manage project timelines, cost management, and invoicing.Adjust designs as needed and communicate changes to contractors.Read and interpret schematics at a high level.Essential SkillsProficiency in project management and engineering.Mechanical engineering experience.Project engineering experience.Electrical engineering knowledge.PLC expertise.Experience with Gantt charts.Familiarity with GMP guidelines for sanitation and food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading schematics.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong contractor management skills.Experience in cost and timeline management.Excellent communication skills for working with contractors and suppliers.Soft skills for cross-functional communication.Work Environment
The role is based onsite in Union City, where you will spend the majority of your time on the manufacturing floor, interfacing with contractors, suppliers, and the engineering and production teams. This is a dynamic environment that offers the chance to be part of designing a gourmet chocolate factory, providing comprehensive exposure to various aspects of the project including design, utilities, automation, and cost management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
