You’ll break new ground by:Project Management: Lead smart meter hardware and grid software projects, ensuring alignment with Siemens project management standards for scope, timeline, cost, and quality. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with factories, Siemens HQ, internal teams, logistics, commercial departments, and customers. Project Planning & Communication: Ensure projects are well-planned, clearly communicated, and smoothly executed throughout their lifecycle. Reporting & Documentation: Provide timely and relevant updates on project progress and understand technical specification documents. Sales & Tender Support: Assist in tender responses and contribute to identifying future sales opportunities for smart meter products. Learning & Teamwork: Demonstrate willingness to quickly learn about AMI and smart meters, while being both a proactive team player and an independent contributor.Other responsibilities:  Act as the main contact point and project coordinator/project manager for contractors and vendors especially for TNB.  Required to communicate and coordinate factories in China and other regions – English communication is a must  Required to engage with Malaysia government entities and TNB, hence strong communication skills are essential.
You’d describe yourself as:Educational Background: Holds a BE degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Communication Skills: Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu. Project Management & Collaboration: Experienced in project management and comfortable coordinating with cross-functional teams, including international teams across different time zones.Proactive & Assertive: Demonstrates assertiveness in ensuring project deliverables stay on track and actively seeks clarity on ambiguous issues.Technical Learning & Explanation: Capable of learning and explaining the end-to-end functionality of AMI systems and other new technologies at a basic level.Self-Motivation & Problem Solving: Willing to ask questions, self-learn, and engage with subject matter experts to resolve uncertainties and manage risks effectively.
