The Project Engineer will guide and provide technical knowledge to grow the business successfully by working with customer to design the customer’s products for manufacturability, being the technical leader for implementation in production and steward of our customers tooling assets. This role is the platform for our technical advancement. The incumbent will live the corporate values of treating people with dignity and respect, practicing leadership, driving continuous improvement, acting with a sense of urgency, promoting innovation, fighting for consensus, and managing through teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
*Provide engineering expertise for CMS NPD activities.
*Work
with sales on preparing Quotes for new projects
*Provide
input on part design with the customer and on
the tool design to the tool maker
*Approve tooling design and construction and manage the tool build timeline
*Request
and oversee sampling of the tool
*Manage
the verification of the injection mold and molding process and post-molding operations.
*Manage
multiple projects simultaneously
*Team
leader for the NPD project.
*Interface with die maintenance, tool makers, process engineers, and mechanical engineers.
*Travel with sales managers on sales opportunities, 15-20%.
