Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy Division in India RegionYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tHandling projects independently under the guidance of a Project Lead Engineer, ensuring completion of engineering and commissioning activities.•\tConducting site visits, with domestic travel exceeding 70% of work time.•\tDeveloping graphics as per P&ID requirements and creating logic based on customer documents.•\tPreparing IO lists, supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and closing punch points before material dispatch.•\tConducting power-on tests, loop tests for all IOs, and functional tests as per Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures.•\tLeading pre-SAT and SAT activities at customer sites, including trial runs and punch point completion.•\tCoordinating with customers for site activities and ensuring compliance with ABB HSE policies.•\tProviding input to the hardware team for preparing As-Built documents.

Qualifications for the role

\tYou enjoy working with industrial automation in the pharma and chemicals market.\tYou have 8 to 10 years of experience in industrial automation DCS commissioning in pharma and chemicals.\tYou possess enhanced knowledge of 800xA.\tYou are passionate about stakeholder management and team management.\tYou have a diploma or degree in engineering, preferably in instrumentation or chemical engineering.\tYou are comfortable communicating verbally and in writing in English.
