PPG Aerospace in Mojave, CA has an exciting onsite opportunity for a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you'll oversee engineering projects, some of which may be related to Process Safety Management (PSM) and mechanical integrity of our Aerospace batch manufacturing facility where we create protective coatings and sealants that are vital to the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

Write compelling project proposals to secure capital funding and efficiently manage resources to ensure projects are completed within budgetPlan and complete projects aligned with engineering and site objectivesManage projects pertaining to mechanical integrity of equipment and siteStrategically plan tasks to provide exposure and acclimatization to engineering staff, methods, and programs of the companyOffer effective engineering solutions to problems and diligently work towards resolutionGather and assess data for site engineering assignmentsFormulate plans for assignments which may involve design applicationCollaborate with multiple teams to meet project deadlinesOccasional travel may be necessary

Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in project management and mechanical integrity within construction, manufacturing, process, or design engineering requiredBachelor’s degree in a related field requiredPrior experience in managing industrial and construction contractors preferredPMP certification preferredAbility to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in EnglishMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000 Depending on experience
