Job Summary
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) is seeking a Project Manager – Automation to support automation initiatives within our Emulsifier, Bioactive, and Health & Bioscience divisions. This role is instrumental in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, process safety, and continuous improvement while driving state-of-the-art technological advancements.Core responsibilities – Operations & Project Support (60-90%)
Maintain and hold expertise in Automation & Process Control (A&PC) project execution at IFF.Maintain and hold expertise in installation practices across automation systems.Provide Automation PL support for Grindsted, Haderslev, and Brabrand sites.Ensure compliance with automation standards, including:Automation drawing guidelinesIFF project modelsInstrument standardsSafety Instrumented Systems (SIS)ATEX regulationsCommunicate network topologies and automation setups effectively to project teams and sites.Additional Responsibilities – Process Safety & Continuous Improvement (10-40%)
Maintain and hold expert knowledge within the area of SISMaintain and hold expertise within the area of “Machinery Regulation”Maintain and hold expertise for A&PC standard project execution.This role includes structured training, tailored to the candidate’s starting skill level, ensuring operational competency across all responsibilities. As core responsibilities are mastered, deeper involvement in process safety and continuous improvement will follow.
Job requirements
Technical Requirements:Education: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in automation, operational technology (OT), or related field.Hands-on Experience: Expertise in PLC/DCS and SCADA control applications.Project Management: Experience in automation-related project work.Language Proficiency: Fluent in Danish and English.Soft skills
