Job Title: Project Division Manager – Close-out
Department: Execution Planning & Services
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to manage the Project Close-out Division within the Major Projects Group and Department Venture. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all project close-out activities, ensuring a smooth transition from project execution to operations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for operational readiness and close-out processes following the demobilization of Project Management Teams (PMTs).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the division responsible for project close-out across all major projects and department Venture.Develop and implement standardized close-out strategies, procedures, and reporting systems.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure early alignment on transition, handover, and start-up requirements.Oversee the preparation, tracking, and timely completion of all close-out deliverables.Act as the single point of accountability for operations interface during the transition phase.Ensure smooth demobilization of project teams while maintaining documentation integrity and capturing lessons learned.Provide leadership and guidance to the close-out team to ensure high-quality and timely project closure.Monitor performance metrics and proactively resolve issues to prevent delays or non-compliance.Ensure accurate handover of project documentation, warranties, and as-built records to asset owners and operations teams.Coordinate with Audit, HSE, and Quality departments to ensure compliance during the close-out phase.Regularly report progress to senior management and recommend improvements.Minimum Requirements (these are the minimum requirements that a job holder must have to be appointed to this job.)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences.Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction, or procurement within the Oil & Gas industry.At least 3 years in a leadership role managing major oil & gas projects.Skills & Competencies:
Proven experience with oil & gas companies, EPC contractors, or service providers.Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk and change management, and close-out procedures.Deep understanding of engineering disciplines, international standards, and execution methodologies.Ability to manage across all phases of project execution and interface with multiple stakeholders.
