Job Description

The Innovation & Performance Management Division is responsible for improving how NYC Parks runs from two complementary perspectives: developing and implementing standardized operating policies and procedures and leveraging data as an operational and strategic asset to produce new insights.
Working on this team of analysts, policy experts and data specialists, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that shape Agency policy from a variety of levels and approaches.
Major Responsibilities
- Under general direction, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, perform difficult research, analysis and planning functions in the Innovation & Performance Management (IPM) division.
- Collaborate with colleagues in IPM and other divisions to define, complete and evaluate projects touching on all aspects of Agency operation.
- Research and recommend best practices for adoption by the Agency.
- Create compelling analyses, presentations and tools that empower agency staff to make data-informed decisions.
- Design and execute programs for implementing and monitoring new initiatives throughout the Agency.
- Communicate clearly and tactfully with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

Salary Min: $ 62,868.00
Salary Max: $ 97,593.00
