Project Coordinator-Walkout Technician

We are seeking a Project Coordinator-Walkout Technician to join our team in the North Bay area in California. In this role, you will conduct field surveys of new and existing cable plant to support service expansion, using detailed route assessments and construction documentation. This role requires experience with CATV as built and new build walkouts, along with a working knowledge of cable construction practices.

The Role

Perform field walkout surveys of existing and proposed CATV plant to determine scope of work and construction requirementsAccurately document walkout findings, providing detailed routes from the existing network to the customer demarcation point, noting all construction types along the proposed pathReceive and review survey requests, then execute walkouts to assess feasibility and develop routing plans in alignment with project goalsUpdate and maintain survey trackers to ensure data accuracy and timely progress reportingPrepare and submit weekly status reports to project managers and relevant stakeholdersRead and interpret blueprints, cable designs, and construction documents to support fielding activitiesUtilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting, documentation, and communication tasksOperate company vehicles in a safe, responsible manner while traveling to and from walkout sitesWork outdoors on a daily basis, navigating a variety of terrains and weather conditions to complete assigned walkoutsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure survey results meet quality standards and project timelinesOther duties as assigned Requirements 1+ years of cable mapping experience requiredIn-depth understanding of the fielding process with practical experience conducting CATV as built and new build walkoutsFamiliarity with cable system design and fundamental construction practicesProficient in interpreting and analyzing maps and technical drawingsStrong analytical, observational, and verbal communication abilitiesQuick to adapt to and learn new software platforms and technologiesCapable of performing daily field walkouts across various terrains and in all weather conditionsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookHighly dependable, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionSafely navigates varied terrain while managing equipment and tools efficientlyFunctions effectively in environments with moderate to high noise levelsSafely operates around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and power infrastructureAbility to work in an outdoor environment in all seasons and weather conditionsAbility to work outside of business hours when needed including overtime, holidays, evenings and weekendsMust provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves drivingPassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
