Project Coordinator-Heavy Civil
We are expanding our Heavy Civil Earthworks team and are looking for Project Coordinators at various stages in their careers—from emerging professionals eager to grow their field experience to seasoned coordinators ready to lead complex, high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities:

Field Coordination

Interpret construction drawings and specifications to support field crews and craft supervisionPerform quantity calculations and track progress of installed materials and workAssist in developing work plans and work packages for field executionSupport field surveying and layout, including elevation checks, control points, and as-built data collectionCompile and verify daily labor timesheets and field reportsParticipate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, and site-wide safety meetingsCoordinate and schedule material deliveries to meet project timelinesPlan and organize work groups on-site to ensure efficient executionProvide oversight and support to field operations and subcontractor activities

Office Coordination

Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with technical draftingGather and prepare data for submittals and transmittals to clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teamsPrepare purchase orders and assist with subcontractor procurement and coordinationMaintain and update project schedules as directedManage project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, photos, and correspondenceEnter and track data in the job cost system and assist in reviewing cost reports with site leadershipGenerate change orders and compile as-built documentation for review by the Project Manager

Estimating Support

Review historical data to support bid preparation and cost analysisConduct plan and specification reviews to identify risk areasComplete material and quantity takeoffs based on bid documents

Qualifications:

We’re hiring for multiple levels of project coordinator roles in Heavy Civil Earthworks construction. Ideal candidates will bring a mix of the following:

For Senior-Level Candidates- 4 or more years of experience in field engineering, project coordination, or a similar role within heavy civil construction Proven track record supporting complex earthworks projects across multiple phasesEducation in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools such as PrimaveraExperience with construction planning software, 3D model viewers, and document management systemsStrong communication skills with the ability to lead coordination efforts and interact confidently with stakeholdersIn-depth knowledge of construction processes including project setup, subcontractor management, RFIs, change orders, and closeoutDemonstrated leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of each project (100% travel required across the U.S.)

For Junior-Level Candidates-1–3 years of experience in construction coordination, field engineering, or a related roleEducation in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera is an assetExposure to construction planning software, 3D model viewers, or document management systems (preferred)Strong verbal and written communication skillsEagerness to learn construction processes including RFIs, subcontractor coordination, and change managementHighly motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to safetyAbility to work collaboratively and take initiativeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of each project (100% travel required across the U.S.)

Working Conditions:

Site based positionAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)Ability to work a non-traditional schedule that could include nights and weekends

Compensation

$77,600-$97,000-$106,700

Site or project-based roles may be eligible for additional pay elements

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
