Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the project coordinator is to support the production department by ensuring the projects stay on track throughout the entirety of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
The PC will be responsible for attending production meetings and maintaining accurate records of meetings, schedules, and requests. The PC will serve as a liaison between customers and production manager. Excellent communication skills through interaction with the production team as well as providing updates on behalf of the project manager. Responsible for ordering materials on behalf of the production manager. Proactive approach to anticipate and identify problems early and implement cost effective solutions. Assures compliance with project closeout requirements, AHJ approvals, customer training and closeout documentation. Duties include issuing inventory and completing inventory transfer forms for jobs and technician vehicles. Attending weekly meetings with operations and finance to provide support to the project manager. Processing RMA request and returning material to manufacturers. Maintaining badging requirements for technicians, including submitting documents needed for base access. Point of contact for advance request for technicians working out of town. Administrative duties such as filing purchase orders, packing slips, condition reports, customer correspondence and delivery receipts in correct job folders. Time Card entry and completion.Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Work Environment Notice:
This position is based at our Mobile, AL branch with daily work assignments at Ingalls Shipyard. The role requires:
Transportation & Access: Daily meet-up outside shipyard gate for coordinated entry via company vehicle with authorized personnel Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts Work Environment: Industrial shipyard setting with associated noise, weather exposure, and physical demands typical of maritime construction/repair operations Communication Style: Professional resilience and adaptability to direct, task-focused communication common in industrial environments Safety Requirements: Adherence to all shipyard safety protocols and regulationsCandidates should be prepared for a demanding industrial work environment and possess the professional maturity to work effectively in a direct communication culture focused on safety and productivity.
