Description
Position Summary:
Project Coordinator is part of the leadership team at WestCare Tennessee to support the implementation of the Tennessee Health Resiliency Grant. This role is critical in ensuring seamless day-to-day program management and fostering strong collaboration with community partners to advance health resiliency initiatives across Tennessee.This position serves Cocke County only.
Essential Job Functions:
+ Oversee the daily operations and implementation of grant activities in alignment with project goals and timelines.
+ Coordinate communication and collaboration among diverse community stakeholders, including healthcare providers, local agencies, and community organizations.
+ Facilitate planning meetings, workshops, and events to promote community engagement and program awareness.
+ Track and report on project progress, deliverables, and outcomes to grant administrators and stakeholders.
+ Assist in the development and distribution of outreach materials and resources to support health resiliency efforts.
+ Maintain project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
+ Monitor budget expenditures and assist with financial reporting in compliance with grant requirements.
+ Identify and troubleshoot challenges impacting program delivery, proposing actionable solutions.
+ Support data collection, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts related to program activities.
+ Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.
+ Serve as primary contract to the Grant Project Officer.
+ Hiring of program staff.
+ Supervise staff to ensure that all staff duties are completed in a timely manner.
+ Conducts staff orientation.
+ Develop and implement staff development, staff orientation, and in-service training programs on a regularly scheduled basis.
+ Provide continuous professional and vocational improvements to staff.
+ Provides direction of program activities and outreach to staff.
+ Schedule weekly staff team meetings either virtually or in-person to discuss updates, successes, barriers or challenges to meeting grant requirements and plan service activities.
+ Implement and supervise adherence to agency policies and budgets.
+ Keep the TN Regional Administrator fully advised of general agency operations on a daily basis as needed.
+ Collaborate with other WestCare Tennessee team members to promote and meet requirements.
+ Participate in Performance Improvement Committee meetings.
+ Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities on an ongoing basis.
+ Will engage and complete the required WestCare Tennessee eLearning, and any other program related trainings.
+ Perform other duties assigned by the TN Regional Administrator
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Project Management, or related field is required.
+ Proven experience in project coordination or program management, preferably in health or community-based settings.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse community stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
+ Commitment to advancing health equity and resiliency.
Preferred:
Experience working in Tennessee or similar community health contexts.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, health disparities, and social determinants of health.
Working Conditions:
+ Work is primarily performed in an office or indoor setting.
+ Some outdoor activities and travel willbe required.
+ Some travel will be required to training and conferences.
+ Regular and prompt attendance is required throughout employment.

Physical Demands:
+ Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. Use of computer and telephone systems is required which includes coordination of eye and hand, and proper utilization by hand (typing, writing, and working with files).
+ Requires talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is required to impart oral information to employees, the public, and in those activities in which the employee is required to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or promptly.
+ Requires hearing: Hearing is required to receive and communicate detailed information through oral communication.
+ Requires seeing: Clarity of vision including proper eyewear at 20 inches or less and at distance.
+ The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues. However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee.
Mental Demands :
+ Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.
+ Requires the ability to work and cooperate with co-workers, managers and the public at all levels in order to exchange ideas, information, instructions and opinions.
