Key Responsibilities:
This role aims to improve learning outcomes of students (literacy and numeracy) by intervention to school leaders on data driven decision and instructional leadership. As the Project Coordinator, the primary role is to lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Data-Driven School Leadership project, which aims to strengthen the capacity of school principals and leaders in making data-informed decisions, particularly to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes. This position is responsible for developing contextually relevant implementation strategies, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring the quality and accountability of all project processes. Additionally, the Project Coordinator plays a key role in building collaboration with stakeholders, facilitating capacity-building through training, mentoring, coaching and leading the project team with an inspiring and adaptive leadership approach to achieve sustainable impact at the school level. This role requires strong analytical skills, adaptive leadership, and a deep commitment to transforming education through data-driven practices. This position is responsible for excellent project delivery (on budget, on target, on time) of DDSL Project.Strategy Development & PlanningWork with the district ecosystem and local governments to strengthen local institutions to ensure they can sustain the benefits of the program after the project is closed.Develop and conceptualize modules for program implementation.Develop project priorities and approaches are based on community and partners’ capacities, needs, resources and opportunities and in alignment with National strategy or Standards.Coordinate revision of plans and budgets for programs at district level in response to monitoring, reflection and learning with the community and the program team.Plan and implement effective initiatives to achieve performance targets as stated in project proposals/designs.Resource Acquisition & ManagementPrepare program budgets in consultation with key partners for management and donor approval and ensure funds are spent in alignment with budgets on time.Monitor program expenditures to ensure that they are within the project budget at the national level and under Wahana Visi Indonesia financial policies and donor’s requirementsCooperatively with finance to develop and monitor budgets and all supply chain management to comply with the procedures and SOPs (in line with Wahana Visi Indonesia’s standard)Ensure the effective management and engagement of key stakeholders and partners to maximize program impact and success at the district level.Capacity BuildingThrough sustainability/phase-out plans within education district ecosystems, build strong local capacity and transfer skills and knowledge to local entities.Ensure capacity building of all program staff and pertinent partnersSupervise pilot schools (and replication schools) to implement modules.Internalize and socialize WV core documents, including the safeguarding policy.Promote ongoing reflection and learning among staff members.Develop a dynamic organizational culture for the project that conveys the principles of a “Learning Organization” and applies principles of our Core Documents, policies, manuals, and procedures.Share lessons learned of program implementation with communities, development partners and other WV Partnership stakeholders at district Level.Accountability & Quality Assurance:Ensure the program's implementation along with the District Coordinator of Project Management Unit from the partner organization.Build trust among schools, communities, and local stakeholders and ensure program activities reflect local needs and contexts.Physically leading a training session of DDSL based on generic modules.Closely monitoring the project in North Halmahera District (progress, challenge, impact, evidence-based result, expenditures).Ensure that the processes of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation are performed on time and with high quality.Responsible for delivering the project activities to achieve the goal.Manage and report on the budget according to accountability standards of the national office and donor guidelines, while ensuring the highest levels of financial stewardship and integrity.Ensure that the DME enables the program and the projects to make a defined and measurable in working together with partners.Ensure that the DME processes and products are in alignment with donor standards and submitted project milestones.Ensure a monitoring system and tools are used by all staff to track the progress of project implementation and to capture learning.To prepare project documentation and reporting at the national level to ensure all required reports are submitted on time, accurate, and complete. This includes the provision of information for monthly reports, quarterly reports, and monitoring checklist, along with updated indicator tracking table and project documentation, and host visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other offices and coordinating with the Communications Unit all media and film crew visits to the project area.Ensure that the programs and projects contribute to supporter transformation.Networking & Coordination:Engage with relevant stakeholders, with the support of DDSL, building a district ecosystem and maintaining it to support the delivery of the program.Build and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including in-country donors.Ensure the effective management and engagement of key stakeholders and partners to maximize program impact and successRepresent the Organization to internal and external stakeholders meeting at district Level.Be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with key partners and ensure that partnerships with other development partners are focused on promoting the well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable.Coordinate and host visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other offices, include to coordinate with Communications Unit all media and film crew visits to the project area.The Qualifications :Preferably bachelor's degree majoring in social development or any other relevant field.Min. 3 years’ experience as Project Coordinator or Specialist with bachelor’s degree in education, social development, early & primary education, child development, social welfare, social sciences, or relevant field.Had experience working (directly or indirectly) with grant funded projects.Had experience working in humanitarian and development contexts.Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.Has strong understanding of local and national education system (especially early and primary school approach and curriculum) in Indonesia.Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.Having experience in conducting baseline/evaluation activities, especially in the education sector.Advanced to use all digital platforms for meetings and daily work, and Ms. Office suite.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Able to travel within the country for coordination purposes to national office, government or donor requirement.Prepared to engage in field mobility activitiesONLY a shortlist of applicants will be contacted.WVI implements a Safeguarding Policy as a form of our commitment to protect children and adult beneficiaries.
