What you'll be doing

The Project Control Coordinator within Enterprise Digital & AI Enablement Delivery is responsible for assisting in the day to day project activities of complex projects of a tactical nature, ensuring project control procedures and policies are adhered as per CIBC’s project performance standards. The role works alongside an expert project manager and the successful candidate will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their careers in project management within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

How you'll succeed

Project Management  - Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverable. Support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating project activities and resources. 

Risk Management - Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any issues or risks that may arise. 

Communication - Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and updates. 

Documentation - Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project schedules. 

Project Financials - Assist in budget tracking and resource allocation to ensure project financials are managed effectively. 

Research - Conduct research and analysis to support project initiatives and decision-making. Participate in project meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes.  

Who you are

You can demonstrate 1-2 years of experience in project management. It is an asset if you have familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

You are familiar with the process for evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with organization’s business needs and architectural principles. 

You have proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) is an asset. 

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. 

You have strong organizational skills. You have an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. 

You are a strong Communicator. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends. 

You have strong collaboration skills. You thrive in teams establishing relationships, believing getting it done together drives innovation.

You take ownership with an entrepreneurial mindset that builds solutions, focusing on what matters; leveraging data to drive decisions.
