Job Title: Project Controls Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Project Controls Specialist with customer service experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, mentor-led environment, demonstrate initiative, and have the ability to work independently. This role requires a strong understanding of electric and/or gas utility requirements for project-specific development and the ability to identify customer needs and expectations. As the central point of contact, you'll manage communications with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, contractors, engineering firms, local agencies, and utilities from project inception through completion. A key focus of this position is driving improvements in external customer satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesManage project communications with internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate with managers to ensure all project information is organized accurately within the system.Provide assistance and training to system users as needed.Maintain financial and document controls to ensure quality and accuracy in project cost allocations.Facilitate and enhance project controls to support stakeholder departments such as Finance, Tax, and Asset Accounting.Ensure adherence to corporate guidelines for Project Management and Controls.Lead project planning and the development of business requirements.Manage complex projects involving multiple work streams, including contractors or offshore/remote project teams.Develop and maintain a project plan, including cost estimates and project schedule.Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure quality project deliverables.Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to the project plan.Monitor project deliverables and progress through ongoing communication with project members and stakeholders.Communicate project risks and work to mitigate risks throughout the project.Communicate project status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.Essential SkillsExperience with project planning and scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6.Strong understanding of electric and/or gas utility requirements.Ability to identify customer needs and expectations.Experience with project data systems, including both capital and operating data systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-5 years of experience with P6.Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple work streams.Experience in leading cross-functional project teams.Work Environment

The position is based in Reno, Nevada, within a collaborative office environment that includes offices, cubicles, and a kitchen area. The team is small, with a dynamic group of individuals working closely together. The office schedule allows for flexible eight-hour workdays, fostering a great team culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00/hr.
