Project Controls Professional II
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Controls Professional II opening for our client in Richland, WA. Location: Richland, WA Duration: 12 months Description: Per Diem May Be Negotiable Full Time – 10 hours per day – No OT unless pre-approved in writing by manager The Project Controls Professional II performs moderately complex project control duties including schedule analysis, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting under limited supervision. This role supports Capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects by providing oversight as part of the Corporate Finance organization, playing a key role in project monitoring, risk identification, and accurate costing. Duties: Assist with project scope development and prepare detailed implementation schedules using Primavera P6. Integrate project cost estimates with schedules to produce resource-loaded cost flow projections. Monitor schedule deviations and analyze impacts on cost/schedule. Evaluate real-time cost data, develop Estimate to Completion (ETC), and recommend corrective actions. Prepare reports on project financial health, including scope/funding changes. Track and record budget changes, update baselines, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Enter and maintain project data in databases with proper configuration control. Conduct consistency reviews, document lessons learned, and recommend process improvements. Attend project review, safety, and staff meetings; support project managers with updates and analysis. Skills: Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Skilled in cost tracking, earned value management (EVM), and variance analysis. Ability to interpret and present project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking in group settings. Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in project controls, planning, cost analysis, or scheduling with a Bachelor’s degree. OR 7 years with an AA degree. OR 9 years with a high school diploma or GED. Experience supporting projects with budgets of $25M+. Utility or nuclear industry experience preferred. Process improvement experience and general accounting knowledge desirable. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline (preferred). Certifications such as EIT, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or PMI-SP a plus. Additional Information: Remote work may be available up to 50% after 3–6 months, based on training, performance, and team needs. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
