Project Controls Professional II
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Controls Professional II opening for our client in Richland, WA. Location: Richland, WA Duration: 12 months Description: The Project Controls Professional II supports Capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects by providing oversight in cost, schedule, and risk management. This role is responsible for developing project scope, schedules, and cost estimates, while ensuring accurate monitoring, reporting, and forecasting. The position works closely with Project Managers to analyze data, identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and maintain financial and scheduling accuracy. Mob/De-Mob allowed: “Pending candidate” mileage or flight NO PER DIEM Anticipated end date: 1 year with potential to extend Remote work: May be available up to 50% after 3–6 months based on training, trust, merit, and performance (only if it works for the team) Duties: Develop and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 Integrate cost and schedule data to support accurate forecasting Monitor cost and schedule performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions Support Project Managers with cost estimates, budgets, and Estimates to Completion (ETC) Prepare reports and updates on project financial health and funding requirements Track and implement approved budget and schedule changes Conduct consistency reviews, lessons learned, and process improvement initiatives Skills: Strong knowledge of project controls, cost analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience: 5+ years of project controls/project management experience with a bachelor’s degree; OR 7+ years with an associate’s degree; OR 9+ years with a high school diploma/GED Formal training in Primavera P6 or another project management system required Desired: Experience with large ($25M+) projects, utility industry, nuclear plant operations, Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday, and process improvement Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent experience as outlined above Desired: PMI certifications (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP); knowledge of GAAP preferred Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
