Project & Development Services - MENA
JLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.
We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.
Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Controls Manager to join our Project & Development Services (PDS) team in Egypt. This role is crucial in ensuring successful project delivery through effective planning, monitoring, and controlling of project schedules, costs, and risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
What this job involves:
• Developing and implementing project control systems and processes.
• Creating and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard software.
• Monitoring project progress and performance against established baselines.
• Analyzing project data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
• Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Managing project change control processes.
• Coordinating with project managers and team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Developing and maintaining project risk registers.
• Conducting earned value analysis and forecasting project outcomes.
• Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates.
• Overseeing resource allocation and utilization across projects.
• Implementing and maintaining document control systems.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior project control team members.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project control processes and tools.
Desired Skills and experience for this:
• Proven experience (10+ years) in project controls management, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Excellent understanding of cost control and earned value management techniques.
• Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management information systems (PMIS).
• Knowledge of construction contracts and change management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience in the Middle East construction industry is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Adaptability and willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
