**What you can expect to do here:**
+ **Project Execution:** Support the execution team on cost, time, schedule, change management, and reporting for successful project executions.
+ **Integrated Project Controls:** Develop a plan for integrated project controls, including scope, cost, schedule, and progress.
+ **Change Management:** Facilitate the change management process and continuously forecast project schedule and cost impacts.
+ **Project Health Analysis:** Review and analyze project information, providing guidance to the execution team on project health.
+ **Project Control Systems:** Establish resources and organization needed to implement the Project Control System consistently for all projects.
+ **Variance Analysis:** Identify discrepancies between planned and actual project performance.
+ **Scope Management** : Ensuring that project deliverables align with defined the objectives.
+ **Estimating Resource Requirements** : Balancing workloads, and ensuring efficient utilization of personnel.
+ **Forecasting:** Provide accurate and timely financial and project forecasting to support decision-making.
+ **Reporting:** Prepare detailed monthly reports, including cost, schedule, earned value, change control, contract administration, and more.
+ **Collaboration:** Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve project goals.
+ **Analytical Abilities:** Strong analytical skills to monitor and control project finances effectively.
+ **Communication Skills:** Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing reports and coordinating with teams.
+ **Leadership:** Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
+ **Attention to Detail:** High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of project controls.
+ **Software Knowledge:** Proficiency in project management and financial software tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
+ **Develop Integrated Plans:** Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
+ **Baseline Maintenance:** Establish and maintain project baselines, ensuring all team members adhere to the starting parameters.
+ **Budget Oversight:** Prepare and manage project budgets to ensure financial compliance and efficient resource allocation.
+ **Cost Tracking:** Monitor actual project expenses against budgeted costs and report any discrepancies.
+ **Earned Value Management (EVM):** Implement EVM techniques to measure project performance and progress objectively.
+ **Variance Analysis:** Identify variances in project scope, schedule, and cost, and recommend corrective actions.
+ **Risk Analysis:** Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate their impact.
+ **Monitor and Control:** Continuously monitor project risks and implement controls to manage them effectively.
+ **Team Management:** Lead and mentor a team of project control specialists, providing guidance and support.
+ **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve project objectives.
+ **Project Management Software:** Utilize tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project for scheduling and project tracking.
+ **Financial Systems:** Use financial software for budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
**What you’ll bring to WSP:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 10 years in a similar capacity on large capital projects, preferably within rail and transit.
+ **Certifications:** Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) are preferred.
+ **Adaptability:** Flexibility and adaptability to work in dynamic environments with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
+ **Collaboration:** Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ **Software Proficiency:** In-depth experience in computer-based scheduling systems (Primavera P6 and MS Project).
+ **Core Project Control Concepts:** Controlling engineering projects heavily reliant on the availability and application of highly skilled resources and specialists.
