Role scope

To help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's budget and schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules, and recommend actions to improve progress.


Details / responsibilities

Demonstrated high level of coordination skills to gather Project Control data from project leaders, accounts, and othersCoordination and management of Project manhour reporting and project invoicingAssist in the preparation of cashflows by analysing the timing of activities and costsDistribution of project related documentationWhere applicable, assist in site measures with the Site Manager in accordance with contractual proceduresEnsure timeous submission of invoices in accordance with provisions of contractMaintain electronic and hard copy filing for project control reports and other related documentsAssist in preparing cost estimation, tracking and control procedure and continuously seek ways of improving processesEnsure that areas of concern are highlighted relating to contract costs, activities, and contract deviationAssist in Compiling monthly reportsComply with company proceduresAssist the development of the company by developing contacts within the industryDevelop skills to understand the fundamentals of our businessDevelop skills to compile subcontract RFQ and contract documentationDevelop skills to understand the implications of contract of contract clausesAssist in the administration of payments to sub-contractors and suppliers by reviewing submissions in terms of contracts with sub-contractors and suppliersLiaise closely with the Project Controls ManagerWhere applicable set rates for site staff after liaising with the Human Resources DepartmentMonitor and analyse the Procurement Status ReportOther duties that may arise from time to time which fall within the parameters of this role, for which the incumbent has the necessary skills and competences


Qualifications

Professional Tertiary Qualification in a relevant disciplineExcellent organisational skills and ability to manage to deadlinesExperience in change managementAgile and pragmatic and accustomed to delivering standardised outcomes in a highly dynamic environmentProcess and progress driven, based on factual analytics, combined with very transparent skills (up, transversally and down) of simple financial reflexesExcellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to deliver successful outcomes through dispersed teamsPC Skills, MS Office specifically excelAnalytical skills associated with developing and utilising performance measures and project reportingIdeally experienced in Oil & Gas / Commissioning and Start-Up sectorExpected to have excellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperior interpersonal, organizational, analytical, managerial and communication skillsGood negotiating skills to be able to work with customers (both internal and external) to meet project objectivesOccasional site visits will be required
