A day in the Life:
• Administers the daily financial management of simple or moderately complex studies, for the functional area's portion of a project budget, as assigned with minimal supervision.
• Performs review of contract and bidding assumptions.
• Performs analysis of budget to actual data on monthly or other specified basis.
• Works closely with project lead to update resource forecasts and unit grids, present and resolve pending issues with resource forecasts, unit grids and contract modifications.
• Close collaboration with other departments and project lead to coordinate financial aspects of functional area's portion of projects.
• Assists project team to identify risks, define reasons for unsupported hours, and attends risk meetings as needed.
• Prepares estimates for contract modifications.
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics or related field or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification, and Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years). The following education and experience is preferred:

2+ years complex project management experience to include allocation of resources against budget, forecasting, and completion/coordination of related quantitative and analytical tasks

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Contributes to the achievement of financial and business objectives through timely monitoring and analysis of budgets and resource data for

assigned project portfolio. Works cross-functionally with other departments and functional project leads to complete assigned tasks on time.

The role:

Providing financial stewardship and supporting functional leads (Clinical Supplies PM and IRT PM) in effectively managing project budgets. Assisting with initial bidding, budget maintenance, analyzing Planned vs Actuals reports, creating out-of-scope budget proposals.

The position requires serious prioritization and organizational skills as well as the ability to work autonomously on multiple projects at the same time. The team members are currently dealing with different projects on their own and need to keep track of all the budgeting process, being sort of independent budget leads.

Essential Functions

- Prepares estimates for contract modifications.

Team (size and locations): between 15-20 employees globally; The LM is in Bulgaria

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.

The following education and experience is preferred

2-5 years complex project management experience to include allocation of resources against budget, forecasting, and completion/coordination of related quantitative and analytical tasks

Experience:

Most wanted: CRO experience, Budgeting (inc. managing project budgets), Processing and analyzing data, Any kind of financial experience (banks not preferred)
Good to have: Bidding, Forecasting, Supporting multiple projects, Clinical Supply experience, IRT experience
Skillset:

Personal: Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills, Critical thinking and problem-solving, customer-focused approach, ability to prioritize tasks effectively, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and adaptability. Ideally, someone who is demonstrating long-term commitment and has a history of staying with previous employers for 2+ years and showing dedication to their roles.
Professional: budget and resource management skills, understanding of the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry, comfortable with financial terminology, knowledge of Planned vs Actuals
Technical skills: Excel, SharePoint and Microsoft Office in general, Clarity and any budget systems
Onboarding and training: we provide extensive 3+ months training and onboarding
