Responsibilities

Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of trainings for DSp's and other DD Division staff as required by the agency as well as OPWDD and requested by programs. Department productivity expectations, as established by senior management, must be met by the Training Specialist. Prepare and conduct required and suggested trainings for DD Division staff. 


Specifically:

Participate in orientation training of new DD Division staffArrange for and help set up training space and materials as needed for trainingsSuggest and facilitate trainings offered by outside vendorsParticipate in team meetingsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be a NYF DD service recipient

Knowledge of child welfare and developmental disabilities preferred.

Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques

Strong written communication and writing skills

Obtaining training certifications as identified based on agency needs.
