Project Administrator

In this position you will oversee projects for the CMBP IG Cytogenetics labs.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Job Responsibilities

Serve as liaison for IG labs at CMBP with appropriate members of Change Control process (i.e., Change Control Admin, committee, etc.).  Meet regularly with Change Control Project Administrator to review checklist items for active projects and ensure all action items are being completed in a timely manner.

Aid with analyzing and evaluating proposed Change Control projects for the IG labs.  Draft necessary Change Control documents for approved projects.

Develop timelines and strategic plans as they relate to assigned projects, and report regularly to manager / leadership on performance / status against plans and budgets.  Coordinate efforts across involved groups, effectively assign action items to appropriate project team members and track progress.

Collaborate with supported departments to analyze existing forms and methods to promote effective operations through standardization, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods.  When necessary, help departments research and identify alternative approaches to solve problems or inefficiencies.

Act as SME (subject matter expert) for any pertinent application implementation and utilization within the CMBP IG departments.

Generate complete, concise, accurate, and timely correspondence such that critical points of information are successfully communicated to and understood by all parties.

Perform administrative support duties (e.g. maintains records, generates and/or sends reports and communications, maintains databases, enters data, answers phones, files, etc.) completely, accurately and within established timeframes.

Assists supervisor/manager in performing various assigned responsibilities (i.e. planning, compliance, troubleshooting, training, making workflow recommendations, etc.) completely, accurately and within established timeframes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements

5 years minimum of applicable work experience

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus

High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
