Job Summary

You will lead important projects and provide high-level support in partnership with our Senior Executive Directors of the National Major Gifts Team. You will also offer administrative support to both Executive Directors. As an important member of our team, you will contribute to efforts to identify, engage, solicit, and steward major gift prospects for the University of Michigan.

Project Management - 50%

Coordinate and track progress on projects led by our Executive Directors, ensuring completion of deliverables and clear communication of milestones to all partners.Develop project management tools (timelines, action plans, status reports) to support engagement of the Top 100 prospects and other high-priority projects.Facilitate collaboration by organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting action items for projects that improve the goals of our National Major Gifts Team aligned with team goals.Support data collection and analysis related to prospect engagement and team effectiveness, summarizing findings into relevant insights for the Executive Directors.

Prospect and Stewardship Management - 25%

Partner with our executive directors to identify and gather materials for internal and external meetings, and complete related research and preparation.Collaborate with Executive Directors to deliver meaningful stewardship for gifts and main milestones (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries).Support the Executive Directors in identifying prospects, including using Business Objects to filter data and conducting searches on Google, LinkedIn.Use tools like DART and MyFundraiser+ to input donor data-pending steps, new opportunities, contact reports, updated info, LinkedIn profiles and support gift officers with portfolio management.

Event Execution + Donor Relations - 15%

Assist Executive Directors and, if applicable, donors in planning and implementing campus visits, including multi-unit coordination, hotel and ticket arrangements, transportation, and logistics.Work with executive directors (and University Development Events as available) to plan and accomplish small and large-scale donor events on and off campus, including list pulls, invitation delivery, menu planning, site/venue coordination, expense approval, and on-site donor engagement.

Administrative Support - 10%

Provide calendaring and scheduling support to Executive Directors and perform additional administrative responsibilities such as travel coordination, expense management, running and scheduling automated reports, and other requests from gift officers.
