The role:

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join us in supporting our prestigious DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) account.

JLL is the global property service provider for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The portfolio comprises approximately 1,000 properties (both owned and leased), across 100+ countries and includes Chanceries/Embassies and Residential properties.

The successful candidate can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney, with preference for Canberra to work closely with the client.  

Snapshot of the roles:

Coordinate month-end accruals and project accounting reporting processes with detailed budget and forecast analysisManage monthly, forecast, and budget aspects of capex reporting in collaboration with offshore Project ManagersSupport annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including data establishment, stakeholder management, and outcome analysisWork closely with project managers to achieve budget and forecast targets while identifying risks and opportunitiesProvide stakeholder management and client engagement support, including attendance at client meetingsDrive continuous improvement through identification and implementation of reporting, process, and control enhancementsSupport systems implementation and operations while maintaining data integrity between finance systems (JD Edwards) and key platforms (Ingenious)Manage ad-hoc queries and support compliance with regulatory, JLL and client policies while ensuring finance-related contract KPIs are met

Requirements:

An Australian Citizen in order to comply with our Client’s requirement to obtain and gain at least a NV1 clearance At least 3+ years post-qualification experience (CA or CPA) Project accounting experience will be highly desirable Advanced financial analytical and reporting skills with accounting or finance function experienceStrong Excel proficiency including financial modeling and analysis capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse client representatives and JLL stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex deliverables with competing timeline Strong attention to detail with strategic thinking abilities with capacity to solve complex problems and work with ambiguity
