Description Robert Half is partnering with a leading energy company to find a Project Accountant to support financial operations on an ongoing contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals skilled in project-based accounting who thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. Key Responsibilities: + Provide accurate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance for multiple ongoing projects. + Prepare project-specific budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall company goals. + Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying variances and providing actionable recommendations. + Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment schedules. + Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. + Use accounting software and tools to process reports and deliver key financial insights. + Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to project accounts. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred. + 3+ years of project accounting experience, ideally within the oil and gas sector. + Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel functions. + Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively across departments and deliver results under tight deadlines.
