Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in the Greater Philadelphia area This Project Accountant role is integral to ensuring accurate financial management and compliance for construction projects, including billing, documentation, and communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in project accounting processes. Responsibilities: Prepare and submit pay applications to general contractors, including waivers, coversheets, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with contract terms. Record billings into the accounting system and maintain detailed financial records. Ensure adherence to regulations such as certified payroll requirements and lien waiver procedures. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address billing inquiries and schedule of values. Monitor and track proposals, time and materials, change order requests, and ensure proper documentation in logs. Verify the accuracy of change order values, record them in the accounting system, and incorporate them into billings while following up on missing signed change orders. Process payments and ensure accurate recording into accounting software. Facilitate project closeout by preparing warranties and operations and maintenance manuals. Requirements The ideal Project Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related studies. Other requirements for the Project Accountant ole include and are not limited to: + 3+ years AIA billing experience + Experience managing project operations/billing/contracts etc. + Experience with Plexus, Infor or similar construction software + Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. + Strong problem solving.
