We're seeking a proactive and analytical Project Accountant to join our dynamic Rolling Stock Customer Services team in Glasgow. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving financial performance and providing crucial management information to support key project decisions.

This role requires a minimum of 3-4 days in the Glasgow Depot per week!

You'll make a difference by ….

Managing project accounts and maintain effective cost control mechanismsAnalysing costs against budgets and forecasts, preparing variance analysis reportsProcess and validate supplier invoices, ensuring accurate monthly accrualsSupport Commercial Managers with forecasting and business reviewsPrepare applications for payments and manage billing responsibilitiesEnsure compliance with internal control proceduresProvide financial modelling and costing supportDevelop cross-functional relationships to enhance departmental efficiency

Your success will be grounded by …

Part-qualified CIMA or ACCAWorking knowledge of SAP (desirable)Experience in project-based accounting (desirable) Demonstrable accounting and financial experienceStrong understanding of key financial statementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to work
