Job Description

Join our dynamic accounting and finance team as a Project Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in the project life cycle. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a financial professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, bridging project management and finance.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project teams to manage the financial workflow of projects, including set-up, template preparation, and cost code entry.Oversee the project billing process, ensuring all supporting documents and compliance items are in order.Assist project teams in producing timely and accurate reporting requirements.Serve as the point person for recording and reviewing project revenue and costs.Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management.Prepare monthly cost-to-complete reports and report profitability to management.Code and route commitments and vendor invoices for project management approval.Process subcontractor contracts electronically and track required documents.Generate monthly status reports, budget analysis, and manage monthly closings.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in project accountingBackground in construction accountingStrong attention to detailSelf-motivated with strong compliance and document control skillsAbility to conduct revenue analysisAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or relevant experience3 years in a financial environmentProficiency in MS Office and general softwareComfortable working in a paperless environmentEnergetic and personable demeanorDetail-oriented with a solid understanding of accounting practicesKnowledge of the construction industry is a plusPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $45.67/hr.
