The Opportunity
UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our Perth team, this is a full-time permanent role based at our Rivervale office.
Reporting to the Project Finance Manager, some of your responsibilities will include-
· Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for assigned projects, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and forecast-to-complete reports – ensuring alignment with UGL’s financial systems and reporting cycles.
· Monitor project budgets, costs and revenue to identify variances and risks.
· Support client billing, progress claims, and variation submissions.
· Ensure compliance with UGL’s financial policies and contract requirements.
· Assist with audits and maintain accurate project accounting records.
About You
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification highly desirable).
· Proven experience in project or management accounting, ideally within engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
· Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across project and finance teams.
