An exciting opportunity has become available for a Programme Manager to join the Team at Derby within Chemicals Management Services. You will be part of a global team and will provide knowledge, expertise and guidance in chemistry and/or corrosion disciplines deployed in the support of the full product life-cycle.
As the Programme Manager within Chemicals Management Services, you will provide knowledge, expertise and execute tasks on the development of materials, processes, models and analysis methods. You will deal with the application of materials to the design, test, manufacture, and service operation of systems.

What you will be doing:
In this exciting role as a Programme Manager, you will approve, validate and control raw materials and / or component manufacturing processes and the execute failure or defect investigations:
Resolve problems through evaluative judgements. Analyses factual information from multiple sources, interprets results and identifies effective solutions by applying their own technical knowledge, expertise and engineering judgement.Responsible for defined technical packages of work providing leadership and delivery against programme milestones within agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements.Be a point of contact within Materials Engineering and to share subject matter knowledge across the function. This may include providing advisory services to designated customers, influencing their peer group, representing senior departmental staff and acting as advisor / coach on matters where they are technically authoritative.Understand company business objectives and ensure that the work they do supports this; To act in accordance with both the company values and those associated with being a professional engineer.Actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team.Who we’re looking for:

Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.Technical experience relevant to the Engineering discipline.An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems.Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.Membership in a relevant professional body appropriate to the region. In the UK - attained / working towards Chartered status is preferred.Capability to handle big and complex data with the willingness to understand input and output (basic materials or chemical knowledge)Knowledge of data visualisation and communicationAbility to work with different teams, skills and management levels and external consortiasKnowledge of VBA coding and SQL is advantage but not mandatoryWe are an equal opportunities employer.
