Title: Programme Manager

Location: London, UK

Under minimal supervision, the Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of projects directed toward strategic business and organizational objectives. These programs contain complex activities that may span functions, organizations, geographic regions and cultures. Leads a team and creates an environment built around always driving for improvement and increasing customer satisfaction. You must be able to build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, especially those external to NCR.

 

In addition, works with the team to define and initiate projects. Assigns project managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of component projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program by the customer. You will be accountable for the financial performance of the program allowing NCR to receive the tangible business value and meet the business objectives identified for the Program.

 

Possessing the knowledge, skills and gravitas needed to be effective in the project and business and to make decisions that accomplish strategic objectives. You should have advanced skills in finance, cross- cultural awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation and conflict resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Liaises closely with the customer to identify pain points and opportunities in order to drive revenue and most importantly customer satisfactionCompletes or tracks completion of project tasks; escalates assignment conflicts and issuesDrives improvement initiatives at all times across the Program and internallyCreates areas of opportunity around greater innovation and consultancy lead servicesManages the PS delivery project plan including detailed Work-Breakdown-Structures for all tasks and activities including key dependencies from both NCR and External.Escalates poor team performance to PS management teamPrepares weekly (or at frequency requested) client status reportsHolds weekly project status update meetings with the Client Project Manager and internal teamsHas an in-depth understanding of all project budgets and chargesIdentifies and proactively manages engagement Risks and IssuesRegularly monitors assigned projects completion against schedule and budgetSecures on-time acceptance of Project Deliverables by the Client, manages, revenue recognition and forecasting

Basic Qualifications

 

Project Management Certification required (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)Agile, Dev/Ops, SAFe or similar experienceExperience of changing delivery models with the customer at the centre of that change10+ years of successful demonstrated Project Management experience with complex Customers5+ years of successful Senior Project Management experienceSuperior written and verbal communications skillsExperience in management budgets in excess of 10M GBP“Executive Presence” – ability to effectively communicate with NCR and client senior executivesStrong business acumen with demonstrable business leadership experienceDomain experience within Retail, both in store and digitally.
