What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Programme Delivery Manager. This position is full time and RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
In this role you will plan and executes transformational programs with a very high value/cost and level of complexity, ensuring operational effectiveness and adherence to the Enterprise Initiative Management Framework & PMO standards while balancing multiple and competing demands & and priorities. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed program schedules and this role also acts as a point of control of the project's financial management processes and development of reporting for senior leadership and executives. The role is also responsible for project control management and artifact documentation (i.e. Issues, Risks, Assumptions, Dependencies etc.) and other general project reporting. You will be required leverage processes and strategies to drive deeper, strategic relationships with key vertical and horizontal partners to bring value to stakeholders and create transparency on benefits realization, resource allocation and components.
What will you do?
Plan and executes projects/programs with high (benefit/cost), and a high or greater level of complexity and uncertainty, including managing the project scope.Manage requirement change requests against multiple and competing demands, and priorities as well as determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact- based metrics and assumptions.Drives and enables business agility practice: OKR (objectives and key results) management, horizon planning and dynamic backlog management, visualization, and routines.Drives solution outcomes aligned to benefit realization, including monetization of benefits aligned to PAR and work closely with finance and program stakeholders.Leads ways of working, providing challenge through a continuous improvement mindset.Works with Business/Technology Owners and functional partners to ensure deliverables achieve the business result that enables value creation.Seeks industry trends and organizational knowledge to understand alternative approaches and/or solutions.Facilitates joint planning with the client in the early stages of project formation.Develops integrated baseline project plans applying estimated models; documents estimating assumptions, refines plans and manages performance against them.Identifies and manages project costs and budgets anticipating operational and tactical risks.Facilitates schedule and cost forecasting; mentors project managers in determining risk-based provisions.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Extensive experience in Program Delivery with appropriate certification.Experience in both business and technology deliveryExperience delivering large-scale system implementations in complex matrixed working environments with demonstrated strength at relentlessly prioritizing while managing competing stakeholder priorities.Solid of experience working in a mid- to large-size corporate environment.Experience with setting program-level OKRs and tracking progress, holding teams accountable; ability to define and track key metrics that demonstrate value for data-driven decision making.Track record of success at turning operational inefficiencies into defined initiatives that lead to project/program improvements.Proven people leadership, leading in-direct teams to achieve business outcomes.Exceptional communications and change management skills; demonstrated skill at producing succinct and factual documentation/content to guide discussions and decisions and determine the needs of the stakeholders and program.Nice-to-have
Experience working with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira etc.Proven examples of leading yourself and others through previous work experience: generating a vision, establishing direction, and motivating team members.Proven people leadership, leading in-direct teams to achieve business outcomes.A consulting background / experience.Professional Certifications including PMP/PGMPWhat is in it for you?
