Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
NBC Universal’s Quality & Project Management (QPM) team provides PMO services across large initiatives within Technical Operations and Enterprise Engineering. The team is seeking a Program Specialist that will be instrumental in managing key program task while closely aligned to Program Managers across technology programs for the Corporate Core and Engineering portfolio. This person will be instrumental in supporting processes for a critical sub portfolio while supporting key program tasks. The programs in this area are core to delivering key projects and initiatives to enable NBCU's business evolution in a fast-changing Media and Entertainment market.
Responsibilities:
+ Support program charters creation, schedules, resource plans, program budgets, and financial pacing
+ Continually collaborate with PMO leadership and Program Managers, assist in documentation and supporting dependencies as well as preparing team for presentations and meetings
+ Support one to two key programs across the Corporate Core Program team and ensure objectives + deliverables are accomplished according to plan
+ Assist in cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by following program structure and governance plan created
+ Align with Director of Program for program-level support for status updates and all cross functional reporting to sponsor and stakeholders, and facilitate regular program status meetings (including agendas, presentations, minutes, action items and follow-up)
+ Build strong partnerships to mobilize key processes determined by program leadership team for all program/project team members and support other internal teams, and external suppliers
+ Participate in program intake, facilitate program prioritization discussions, and collect high-level requirements
+ Follow and contribute to standards, best practices, processes, and documentation for the Program Management team
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years equivalent experience in Product Management, Business Administration, Project/Program Management or a related field

Desired Characteristics:
+ Experience supporting global projects teams with competing priorities, diverse business objectives, and time zones constraints
+ Ability to collect information from multiple sources, document concepts using data + visualizations, and present complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
+ Experience within media and entertainment industry
+ Experience with Microsoft 365
+ Experience in IT, Agile Product & App Development environment highly preferred
+ Experience with JIRA, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Tableau or PowerBI
+ Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications a plus
Additional Requirements:
+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. The candidate must live within a commutable distance from the designated NBCUniversal offices - New York, NY
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000
