Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesAs a member of the Program Core Team, the Program Manufacturing Leader is responsible for all the manufacturing aspects of the Program. His/her mission lasts from the Acquisition phase (as Acquisition Manufacturing Leader) until GR4 closure, generally at SOP + 6 months.
Main Purpose of the job:
Team Management
Coordinate work package tasks he/she is responsible for and ensure their accomplishment.In agreement with the Program Manager (PM), act as a technical interface with the customer & suppliers for his/her perimeter.Interface with Industrial Program Leader (IPL) involved in his/her program from Acquisition.Product manufacturability and Process Definition
Responsible for Initial Process Concept, update of Process Definition and final release. Together with Program Development Leader (PDL) and Program Quality Leader (PQL), ensure design to manufacturing through concurrent engineering activitiesEnsure manufacturing feasibility by managing Process FMEA and MVP (Manufacturing Validation Plan) definition and completion In charge of the definition of the traceability system needed for production and assembly processesInitiate the Process Capability study plan and provide manufacturing data for "make or buy" studiesProvide quotation and implement all changes related to process and production system and/or related to the productProduction System Development
Responsible for Preliminary Manufacturing Footprint Analysis and input data for the definition of new or extension of facilitiesLead the Production Line definition using standard group methodologies: Equipment Design Workshop & Cardboard Workshop and FECT standard equipments together with program and plant support teamResponsible for Initial Equipment Concept, long lead time and standard lead time Equipment, Tooling and Gages specifications.Provide PM with the inputs for CAR (Capital Expenditure Request) preparation.Manage Capacity studies for existing equipment / capital through process experts & specialistsManage CAPex spending within the Program budget. Manage vendor timeline for Equipment, Tools and Gages Validate design of Equipment, Tools and Gages at supplier together with IPLProvide PM with manufacturing data for product costing including CAPex, Work-Content, material consumption, Launch Costs.

Support Production preparation and ramp-up: Plant Launch Readiness initiatedSupport pre-acceptance (run-off) of Equipment, Tools and Gages at supplierSupport all Process FMEA defined actionsContribute to Process Qualification and Production Part Approval Process including Run @ Rate: Production Trial (PT) and Mass Production Trial (MPT) Extended Mass Production Trial (EMPT) for all production linesTargets and reporting
During the acquisition phase, propose industrial objectives of the program (Capex, work-content/DL, scrap/rework/cycle times/tool change over times, material costs, launch costs…)Consolidate and Validate quality of deliverables of manufacturing work-packages/PMS Mandatory Deliverables & other inputs needed for Program Functional Milestones ReviewsAchieve all manufacturing program objectives together with plant(s) at each Gate Review.Lead IDW (Industrial Design Workshop) in Acquisition phase and phase 2b.Your profile and competencies to succeedThe ideal candidate will have/be:
B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering.5 to 10 years of experience in production area, including one position in Manuf.
