The Transmission and/or Driveline Program Manager will be responsible for driveline components on multiple Stellantis vehicle programs (new and carryover applications). The Program Manager leads a cross functional team and guarantees all deliverables and targets identified in the approved initiative over the product development lifecycle (cost, timing, quality, manufacturing and performance), will be the single point contact for Product Team members for the given scope of work, and reports to Chief Engineer.
This job is based at the Chrysler Technology Center (CTC) in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA.
Accountabilities:
Manages all aspects of the assigned program to assure cost, timing, quality, manufacturing and performance achievement Coordinates cross functional Family team involved in program targets achievement Be responsible to ensure program budget achievement identifying all possible efficiencies vs. approved business case Ensures procedures, best practices and methodologies application according to required standards and leads program documentation creation, monitoring and updating in line with Propulsion Systems Development Process (PSDP) Be responsible to ensure product readiness to support approved launches while defining appropriate timing milestones for the given project and overseeing change management activities Reports programs status, risk management and issue resolution Identifies program requirements and assembles cross-functional department information/data to take decisions in the appropriate forum to meet program objectives Co-leads proactive Risk Management tasks with QM and Platform team, tracks/leads risk status update Supports the technical reviews/evaluations in respect to program targets/milestones Supports Global Purchasing and Global Manufacturing strategies Leads the responses to investigate/action bulletins related to product/process changes Coordination and implementation of Value Optimization and Quality improvement activities Manages Product lifecycle, including support of Supply Chain and Logistics issues to guarantee production continuityBasic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree field 5 years of experience in product development engineering with at least 3 years of program management experience with an Automotive OEM Strong cross functional team management skills Highly proficient in written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and prepare presentations for Director/VP level leadership Demonstrated leadership, planning, decision making and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team Knowledge of powertrain systems, especially hybrid/ electric drive systems Legally eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) Program management or engineering experience with driveline and/or transmission componentsEOE / Disability / Veteran
