Program Manager (Sustainability) - Fulltime - Facilities Administration

GENERAL SUMMARY:As a Sustainability Program Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization’s projects and initiatives align with environmental, social, and economic sustainability goals. You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of sustainability projects from start to finish, ensuring that they adhere to best practices and contribute to the sustainable growth of the organization.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Manage the execution of these plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, clients, vendors, and community organizations, to ensure project goals align with broader sustainability objectives. Facilitate effective
communication and foster positive relationships.
3. Sustainability Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies that address environmental impact, resource efficiency, and social responsibility. Ensure that these strategies are integrated into the
organization’s overall business objectives.
4. Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics for tracking the progress and success of sustainability projects. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement necessary adjustments to address any issues.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by incorporating new ideas and innovations into project planning and execution.
7. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to sustainability working groups, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in sustainability or project management are highly desirable.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sustainability project management or a related field. Proven track record of successfully managing complex sustainability projects.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and regulations. Familiarity with environmental impact assessments, carbon footprint analysis, and sustainable resource management.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is an asset.
• Passionate about sustainability and committed to making a positive impact. Detail oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
