McCain is embarking on a global supply chain planning and S&OP transformation to improve how we plan and operate our business and supply chain. Key challenges with today’s processes include a lack of data connectivity, a lack of engagement from all functions, and a significant time requirement to create demand and supply plans. We are looking to add a Program Manager to help our business and technology transformation teams organize around value, prioritize the work, and remove the blockers to success.
This Program Manager position will oversee the planning and delivery of multiple initiatives aligned to the S&OP program. The Program Manager is responsible for the initiation, planning, controlling, monitoring, execution of and closing of projects linked to contracted deliveries. Responsibilities also include building project strategies for assigned projects using agile or the waterfall methodologies. Through team management, planning, project clarification, and process ownership, the Program Manager will facilitate creativity, help team members work together, remove impediments to progress, facilitate meetings, foster team empowerment and entrepreneurship, and enable the team to complete tasks on time at a high level of quality. The position requires a good communicator with experience in managing risks, adjusting schedules and tasks to meet committed timelines and can lead projects. We are looking for an experienced individual with a pragmatic problem-solving approach with experience working with globally distributed internal colleagues and multiple third-party partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning and Process Management
Establish a small project management office aligned to program initiativesManage the setup and mobilization of supply chain technology initiatives, including RFPs, vendor contracting and onboarding, and resource planningUnderstand and provide oversight to delivering business outcomes and Digital Technology commitmentsDefine, monitor and control program plan, budget, and quality – on time, on budget and achieving expected quality standardsEstablish and maintain program governance framework and ways of working, prepare for and/or chair relevant meetingsDefine and stand-up program financial tracking & reporting process between Program PMO & Global Technology FinanceManage the day-to-day work activities of team members, organizing and coordinating the team, and leading project status, daily huddles, and working meetingsIdentify and resolve project issues and mitigate risks, manages deviations from plans, provide progress reports as neededChampion ongoing process improvement initiatives to improve team efficiency and effectivenessManage third party contract deliverables, vendor performance and contract budgetsDevelop regular reporting on contract milestones, execution, and riskPrepare program reporting for program and executive leadership

Ability to build relationships with cross functional team members and stakeholders across various levels of the organization.Responsible for stakeholder management, collaboration, and execution approachCloses any communication gaps with key constituents outside of the teamLeads change management in a fast-paced, agile work environment. Leads team towards swift and clear decision making, pivoting, plans, and activating the team members simultaneously with new direction.Promote empowerment of the global, cross-functional team and ensure a collaborative, productive and motivated team. Lead a team of project managers to deliver technology and business outcomes, providing hands-on coaching, regular feedback, and removing barriers to progress.
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire, and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategyProven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects with a hands-on approach.Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units. Familiarity with industry digital trends and innovation.Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resourcesExcellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraintsProficiency in project planning tools, such as Jira and Microsoft Project, with evidence of practical applicationKnowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environmentExceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and direct team to let go of unnecessary or distracting workExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others as well as manage conflictComfortable navigating corporate politics and resolving conflicting prioritiesComfort with quickly changing priorities and a high level of adaptability and flexibility while maintaining the “big picture” viewAble to quickly develop deep understanding of McCain’s business from a cultural & operational perspective
Qualifications
Minimum 10 or more years of experience in IT business/industry with Project Management experienceMinimum 3 years of people management experience5 to seven 7 years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programsAble to think nimble and out of the box to drive improvements within existing methodologiesProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an assetAgile Methodology certifications are considered an asset (Scrum CSM and/or SAFe)Strong communication and ability to manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships all while driving resultsSubstantial leadership roles and collaboration experienceDemonstrated experience in managing “upward” among senior leadership and ensure accountability of teamDemonstrated experience in leading diverse teams

Travel may be required – small amounts as neededJob is primarily performed in a hybrid working model – expectation of minimum 3 days a week in the Toronto McCain office

Compensation Package: $102,700.00 - $137,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
