We are looking for a highly skilled Program Manager to leverage their specialized knowledge in data ingestion systems, cloud platforms, and insurance data analytics. In this role, you will drive key data initiatives and enhance our data ingestion processes by applying a deep understanding of Chubb’s tools and methodologies. As a subject matter expert in data analysis, you will lead strong working partnerships with business and technology stakeholders, plan and execute data analysis initiatives to solve complex business problems for Chubb’s North America underwriting businesses and help build a robust data analysis function within the Document Ingestion program. We'll also look to you to leverage your specialized knowledge of Chubb’s products and processes, as well as your technical experience in database management, insurance data analysis, application integration, and solution delivery. Your analysis will guide initiatives from inception to deployment. Through it all, we’ll also look to you to share your ideas and manage data related projects that influence how we incorporate, validate, and distribute data enterprise-wide.
Your role will encompass
Specialized Knowledge and Strategy: Utilize specialized knowledge of cloud-based data ingestion systems (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, Kafka) to design and implement scalable data pipelines tailored to the needs of the insurance industry Apply deep expertise in insurance data domain, including retail and wholesale sales channels as well as account setup and technical rating, to ensure that data processes comply with demands of the product and underwriting business Collaborate with global business and technology leaders to develop and execute cloud data ingestion strategies (batch, micro-batch, and real-time) that support critical business functions and drive operational efficiency Leverage proprietary tools and methodologies to solve complex data challenges, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the company’s data ingestion processes Data Management & Quality: Build robust data analysis workflows ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory frameworks Drive the integration and optimization of insurance-specific data sources into generic and reusable document ingestion platform capabilities, ensuring that these platforms are optimized for performance and scalability Understand source system data models and development on raw data ingestion pipelines. Define requirements, identify source data, assist with high level data designs, create data model artifacts, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues Reconcile multiple data sources and identify the root cause of discrepancies in expected output; distinguish between multiple root causes and/or multiple trends in each data set and articulate results to various stakeholders, management, and technical resources Implement and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure that the data analysis function complies with organizational standards and industry best practices Provide strategic input for the data analysis function, ensuring alignment with global objectives and influencing the vision for global data ingestion initiatives Project Delivery & Reporting: Support cross-functional squads of data analysts, engineers, testers, and business SMEs to deliver high-quality, timely data ingestion and reporting functionalities that support Chubb’s broader digital transformation and business objectives Ensure that teams focus on data-driven decision-making that aligns with KPIs Drive the development of financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc extracts, ensuring the insights generated are impactful and actionable for decision-makers Present performance metrics to leadership, showcasing improvements in operational efficiency and decision-making driven by the data analysis function 10+ years of experience in program management, data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence roles, with a strong focus on cloud-based data ingestion systems and large-scale data platforms.Extensive experience working within the P&C insurance industry, with specialized knowledge of insurance data structures, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Proven ability to apply specialized knowledge to resolve complex data challenges, optimize large-scale data systems, and enhance compliance with industry regulations.Experience driving the implementation of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, Kafka) and big data tools, in collaboration with the technical teams to design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines.Experience delivering data solutions in collaboration with technical teams to implement data engineering solutions using programming languages such as C#, .Net, Python, or Java.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.Strong understanding of data governance, data quality practices, and trends in data management.Proven ability to implement data governance and data quality practices, and emerging trends in data management, specifically within the insurance domain.Experience working with agile tools such JIRA and LinkKnowledge & working experience with policy admin and operational workflow systems including Duck Creek, GENIUS, and SIM a plusDemonstrated success in cross-border collaboration, managing and optimizing data systems across multiple regions a plusUnderstanding of common data frameworks and data models to apply data lake designs desiredFamiliarity with data science and analytics tools, such as Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, Python, and R Shiny, in collaboration with data scientists for advanced analytics and reporting desiredFamiliarity with tools such as Azure Synapse, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and reporting tools such as Qlik desired
The pay range for the role is $140,000 to $185,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
