Program Manager - Neurotechnology
Work Flexibility: Hybrid

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects that integrate our Neurotechnology products and systems. In your role, you will ensure R&D projects are completed on time/cost & budget.  You will support cutting edge medical device products from the inception phase to launch for Stryker’s Neurotechnology business unit.

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Portage, Michigan location. You will

need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.

What you will do

Collaborate with Business Unit (BU) leadership to define and align program scope with strategic product development goals, ensuring clear ownership and accountability across functions.

Lead the creation and management of comprehensive program schedules, including detailed Gantt charts and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS); analyze critical paths, key workstreams, and interdependencies to proactively manage timeline risks.

Develop and oversee program budgets in collaboration with cross-functional leaders, ensuring cost optimization and adherence through continuous tracking and variance analysis.

Coach and mentor Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and delivery best practices to ensure consistent project success and team development

Drive the creation and implementation of robust Quality Plans in partnership with project teams, applying quality planning tools and methodologies to ensure product and process excellence throughout the development lifecycle.

Establish and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Plan, identifying and assessing program-level risks and developing effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on scope, schedule, and quality.

Own the development of a Procurement Management Plan and serve as a strategic partner in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement lifecycle management to support program needs.

Forecast, acquire, and manage cross-functional resources for program execution, clearly defining team roles and responsibilities; provide coaching, performance input, and contribute to functional and program-level talent development.

Develop and execute a comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Plan, identifying key stakeholders, analyzing their needs and expectations, and ensuring alignment through targeted communication and collaboration strategies.

Create and manage a tailored Communications Plan, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective communication with program teams, executive sponsors, and business stakeholders.

What you need

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the full New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, including project strategy development, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and successful product launches.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or PgMP or equivalent

Travel Percentage: 20%
