As a Program Manager in our Medical Education Department, you will support the educational mission of the Cleveland Clinic by providing excellent experiences for medical students and other learners. The Program Manager in this role is responsible for the oversight of all medical student rotations and educational activities within the Departments of Orthopaedics and Psychiatry. In addition, the Manager leads initiatives to attract, retain, and orient medical students, serving as the primary contact for all rotations within the departments. This education role supports medical students in multiple departments and is key to our successful recruitment and pipeline development initiatives.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m..
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community.
Allocate time to meet completion requirements.
Coordinate all the medical student schedules during the academic year in conjunction with the Department of Medical Education Administration
Serve as liaison with numerous medical schools to communicate rotation availability.
Collaborate with Ohio University Heritage College of Medicine and Northeastern Ohio University Deans to implement M3 Curricula.
Engage additional teaching faculty as need to meet student rotation demands.
Process all student requests for rotations in a timely manner.
Meet with all students on the first day of their rotation and provide comprehensive orientation and onboarding.
Manage the faculty/resident/student interface to optimize the students’ educational experience while in the Department.
Schedule formal feedback sessions for faculty and students.
Ensure all faculty evaluations are completed and returned at the completion of the rotation.
Participate in recruitment fairs at medical schools in conjunction with the residency coordinator.
Investigate opportunities to enhance Cleveland Clinic Akron General's presence at surrounding medical schools.
Oversee the various medical student interactions at CCAG to optimize the Department's ability to recruit from this pool of students for residency training.
Serve as the primary contact for all learners on campus (allied health, observers, etc.) requesting rotations in the assigned Department in conjunction with the Department of Medical Education Administration.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
Two years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems training OR High School Diploma / GED and six years of experience OR Associate’s Degree and four years of experience OR Master’s Degree and one year of experience
Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
