Job Description

The Program Manager will coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. This role focuses on managing development projects, including new orders and contracts, rather than build-to-print or contract manufacturing projects.

ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the technical scope with software, firmware, and electrical engineers.Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to quality standards and procedures.Partner with engineers to discuss and optimize design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines.Manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Project Engineering for Development and R&D projects.Experience leading projects or programs with technical scope, particularly partnering with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers.Proficiency in managing budget, schedule, timelines for deliverables, and customer communication.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred experience with government programs, particularly in space or defense sectors.Knowledge of AS9100 standards and practices.Experience in Space, Aerospace, Avionics Systems, and Defense Aerospace industries.Work Environment

The work environment is a small site with office space, assembly, and lab areas located in a modest business park. The company specializes in space avionics and sensor systems, serving commercial, space, and defense markets. The team develops, manufactures, and tests video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecrafts, control systems for experiments and payloads, data management equipment, and sequencing systems for spacecraft ejection telemetry. The organization has a strong financial backing and a heavy pipeline of programs and projects, ensuring involvement in multiple major space missions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
