The Microsoft AI Monetization team plays a pivotal role in shaping how Microsoft generates value from its AI innovations, particularly through products like Copilot, Bing, Edge, and Microsoft Advertising. This cross-functional organization is responsible for driving new monetization opportunities, business growth, and pioneering bold bets in AI-driven experiences. Our PGMT’s are embedded in the heart of strategic initiatives that power the ai platform shift, create new canvases for monetization growth, enable publisher platforms, real-time systems, and state of the art personalized models. We are seeking a **Program Manager** (PGMT) to drive strategic execution across large-scale, AI-powered ad solutions that serve billions of impressions daily. In this role, you will lead high-impact initiatives that power monetization across Microsoft properties such as Bing, Edge, and Copilot, delivering seamless agentic advertiser and user experiences at web scale. This Program Manager will be a leader in execution across projects. They will orchestrate aligning engineering execution with product strategy across cross-functional teams spanning machine learning, user experience, data privacy, and monetization systems. You’ll partner closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure that Microsoft Advertising continues to deliver intelligent, efficient, and responsible advertising solutions powered by AI. A solid candidate will have the ability to scale and strategically align areas of ambiguity across many stakeholders and drive clarity towards shared outcomes. You will focus on building and scaling innovative ad products—from predictive targeting and dynamic creatives to real-time auction infrastructure—while ensuring operational excellence. Your ability to collaborate, drive clarity, manage risk, and influence stakeholders will be key to the success of our monetization experiences in a competitive and fast-paced industry. Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment. + Execution Planning: Translate strategic requirements into detailed execution plans, identify resource needs and ensure alignment among cross-functional teams for timely delivery. Monitor execution progress, identify potential blockers, and adjust plans as needed to address any challenges or changes in scope. + Execution & Customer Quality OversightPartner with engineering to track and ensure timely delivery of features, uphold quality standards, and resolve execution blockers. This includes a deep focus on customer needs, technical requirements, and performance metrics. + Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify potential risks (design, product, technical, schedule, or resource-related) early and develop mitigation strategies to keep the program on track. + Communication: Regularly communicate status, key milestones, and emerging risks to the Leadership Team (LT). Translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment and enabling informed decision-making across the organization. + Metrics-Driven Decision Making: Define success metrics (e.g., KPIs, OKRs), track telemetry, and use data to guide decisions and measure impact. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, ad tech, or large-scale service development + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-org programs with high technical ambiguity. + Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum) and program execution practices. + Proven ability to influence and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders with excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product/technical program management, large-scale platform development, or engineering + OR equivalent experience. + 6+ years of experience managing large-scale, multi-team programs in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. + 6+ years of experience with ad serving, programmatic auctions, or ranking systems with solid business understanding of monetization KPIs (CTR, ROI, spend efficiency, quality scores) and familiarity with privacy, compliance, and responsible AI in consumer-scale products. + Experience writing or reviewing product or technical specifications and solid track record of execution delivery. Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
