Program Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a Contract to permanent position that begins part-time with approximately 30 hours per week, offering the potential to transition into a permanent and full time role. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in organizing and managing large-scale events and competitions while fostering long-term connections within the company. Responsibilities: • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple large-scale competitions and award ceremonies throughout the year. • Oversee participant registration and tracking for year-long events, ensuring all details are meticulously maintained. • Collaborate with vendors, secure event locations, and determine ticket pricing. • Develop and implement internal campaigns for events, including light social media and marketing initiatives. • Conduct outreach calls and manage communications related to competitions and events. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of all event-related activities. • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet organizational goals. • Provide regular updates and reports on event progress to stakeholders. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance event planning efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in event coordination. • Proven expertise in managing cross-functional projects and meeting tight deadlines. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with vendors, participants, and stakeholders. • Proficiency in using project management tools and software. • Experience using Canva or Adobe for creation of marketing or social media materials • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and at least one CRM. • Ability to work fully in-person in Richmond, Virginia.
