Program Manager
Job Title: Program Manager

Job Description

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned projects and programs. You will execute programs to meet business financial goals and lead program teams composed of multidisciplinary personnel, including design engineers, manufacturing, and testing for major programs in support of the USN and major primes. This role requires you to manage technical, quality, cost, schedule, and associated risk management, while maintaining effective customer interfaces and leading all contract formal reviews with customers. You will also be responsible for new program capture, leading or supporting proposal preparation, and articulating program cost and schedule performance, strategies for execution, and strategic improvement to leadership.

ResponsibilitiesExecute programs to meet business financial goals.Lead multidisciplinary program teams for major programs.Manage technical, quality, cost, schedule, and associated risk.Capture new programs and support proposal preparation.Communicate program status and risks to management.Develop corrective actions to mitigate issues and changes to program scope.Enhance relationships with established customers and prime partners.Lead contract formal reviews with customers.Essential SkillsDemonstrated experience in Program Management principles.Ability to perform program planning, progress measurement, and team coordination.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a technical context.Leadership, organizational, motivational, mentorship, and negotiation skills.Proficient with MS Office, including MS Project.Knowledge and experience in Risk & Opportunity management.Additional Skills & QualificationsPMP certification.Experience in the defense industry.Experience with underwater acoustics, sonar, and transducers.Strong proposal writing skills.Work Environment

The position is based in beautiful Goleta, CA, located just 5 minutes from the beach and downtown Santa Barbara. The work environment is dynamic, requiring reliability, flexibility, and attention to detail. The role demands effective team building and professional behavior, with a focus on meeting or exceeding schedule and financial goals. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $190000.00/yr.

Benefits: Benefits include medical, dental and vision, life insurance, paid vacation, paid sick, 3% 401K contribution (no employee contribution required)
