Job DescriptionThe Site Program Lead is responsible for meeting customer milestones and ensuring successful build processes. You will manage changes in components, follow up on action items, and communicate effectively to build strong relationships. This role involves launching and tracking the introduction of new manufacturing processes, including those initiated through new product launches on new equipment or lines. You will monitor the change process to ensure appropriate approvals, reviews, validations, and adherence to company best practices for quality and documentation. You will lead pre-build planning meetings to ensure proper departmental support for product shipment, data collection, and process development goals. This role may involve acting as the launch site manager at the manufacturing plant and leading global cross-functional meetings internally and with customers.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage customer milestone achievements and build processes.Coordinate component changes and follow up on action items.Launch and track new manufacturing processes and product introductions.Monitor change processes for approvals, reviews, validations, and quality documentation.Conduct pre-build planning meetings for departmental support.Act as launch site manager at manufacturing plants and lead cross-functional meetings.Engage in hands-on work with floor staff and develop relationships.Support defect reduction projects and update work instructions.Conduct 8D and 5 Why root cause analysis.Communicate regularly with OEM, internal design and production teams, and other stakeholders.Essential SkillsProject management skills and experience.Product launch experience in the automotive industry.Manufacturing engineering knowledge.Electrical and electronics engineering expertise.Proficiency in Solidworks, PLC, C++, and Visual Basic.Understanding of surface-mount technology and robotics.Experience in plant layout and CPK studies.Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management or related field.Automotive manufacturing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsSupplier experience with major OEMs.Prior experience in quality or production engineering.Knowledge of 8D and 5 Why methodologies.Work Environment
This role is based in an electronic manufacturing facility, predominantly a clean-room environment requiring smocks and ESD shoes. You will work cross-functionally with various groups such as Quality, Production, Machine Build, and Design Engineering. Working hours are from 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility required to support launch activities. No remote work is available, and the role demands hands-on engagement
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $35.00/hr.
