Program Manager, Stratus

**POSITION SUMMARY**
As the Program Manager for Stratus, you will serve as the strategic leader and primary point of accountability for the end-to-end implementation, adoption, and continuous advancement of Stratus across all Southland fabrication operations nationwide. You will establish and execute a comprehensive program vision that aligns with business objectives, drives operational excellence, and advances our fabrication-first mindset. This includes setting nationwide standards, developing deployment roadmaps, and ensuring seamless cross-functional integration with design, fabrication, manufacturing, and field operations. You will partner with executive leadership, divisional stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver measurable impact through increased efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of fabrication workflows. Significant travel to divisional offices and fabrication shops is required to ensure program success and consistent alignment across all regions.
**What you’ll do:**
**Relationship Building/Management**
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, divisional stakeholders, shop managers, and manufacturing leaders to align Stratus program objectives with business needs.
+ Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for Stratus across the organization, building strong connections and trust at every level.
+ Establish and support local Stratus champions within each division and manufacturing facility to reinforce adoption and serve as first-line advocates.
+ Partner with software vendors and technology partners to enhance system capabilities and resolve critical issues.
**Workflow Optimization**
+ Analyze and document current-state fabrication and manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for standardization and increased efficiency through Stratus.
+ Design and implement future-state workflows that integrate seamlessly with Stratus and support continuous improvement.
+ Promote best practices and ensure consistent processes across all fabrication shops and manufacturing facilities nationwide.
+ Leverage user feedback to continuously refine and optimize workflows to deliver measurable operational improvements
**Technology Deployment**
+ Lead nationwide deployment strategies for Stratus, ensuring consistent and scalable implementation across all regions.
+ Oversee configuration strategies to support fabrication and manufacturing requirements while ensuring integration with existing systems.
+ Guide IT teams on infrastructure readiness, including hardware and software needs for optimal Stratus performance in shops and manufacturing environments.
+ Identify and implement standardized access points and technology setups to ensure seamless user experiences.
**Change Management**
+ Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies to drive adoption and long-term program sustainability.
+ Clearly communicate program vision, benefits, and changes to all stakeholder groups to minimize disruption and build alignment.
+ Establish structured feedback and engagement loops to incorporate insights from shop floor personnel and manufacturing teams.
+ Develop and manage change control processes to ensure updates and enhancements are carefully scoped, tested, and documented before rollout.
**Support and Documentation**
+ Oversee the creation of scalable, role-specific training programs and materials tailored to project managers, detailers, field leaders, shop personnel, and manufacturing operators.
+ Ensure support structures are in place, including defined escalation pathways and regional support frameworks.
+ Serve as the primary liaison to Stratus support and development teams for critical issues and future enhancements.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, workflows, change logs, and best practices to ensure long-term knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
**Strategic Planning & Governance**
+ Define and lead the overall strategic roadmap for Stratus, ensuring alignment with Southland’s business objectives and operational goals.
+ Establish governance structures, including program performance metrics, steering committees, and executive reporting cadences.
+ Monitor adoption, performance, and ROI, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to leadership.
+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and prioritizing enhancements to support evolving fabrication and manufacturing needs.
**What you’ll need to be successful:**
+ Extensive hands-on experience implementing and managing Stratus or similar enterprise-level platforms at scale, including proven leadership in driving adoption and measurable operational improvements in fabrication and manufacturing environments.
+ Deep understanding of Revit, Fabrication CADmep, and advanced BIM workflows supporting fabrication and manufacturing.
+ In-depth knowledge of HVAC, Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical detailing, spooling, fabrication, and manufacturing practices.
+ Strong familiarity with shop floor workflows, manufacturing processes, and industrialized construction methods (DfMA).
+ Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholder groups, including executive leaders, divisional teams, fabrication shops, and manufacturing facilities.
+ Proven track record in leading large-scale technology programs across multiple business units or regions.
+ Experience with any of the following software applications is not required, but a plus:
+ Autodesk Content Catalog
+ Autodesk Construction Cloud
+ Autodesk Navisworks Manage
+ Navigate Fabrication and/or MEP
+ Knowledge or experience with the following processes is not required, but a plus:
+ Total station exports and point layout processes
+ 3D coordination using Navisworks
+ Industrialized construction, manufacturing, and design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) workflows
+ Preferred that you are near a Southland Office. At Southland, we have projects in the following locations: California, Utah, Oregon, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
**What you bring to the table:**
+ 10+ years of relevant experience, including significant leadership responsibilities in technology program management and/or advanced fabrication and manufacturing operations.
