**Overview:**
Join Cognizant as an inspiring leader within the Program & Project Management community. This key role is responsible and accountable for **Program Management** activities associated with **large-scale, complex, multi-service** (Application Development and Maintenance, Infrastructure, Business Process, and Digital) programs. Successful candidates will not only manage delivery objectives but will also have responsibility for customer satisfaction and the client relationships required for successful program delivery.
**Role:**
• Lead the planning and execution of portfolio management strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee the development and implementation of project management processes and methodologies.
• Accountable for overall delivery across multiple projects/program in the account.
• Regular connect with Clients at VP, CTO and CIO Levels for the delivery and helps the account team in identifying new opportunities (organic / adjacent)
• Get first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in services provided by Cognizant
• Should be aware of how strategies and tactics work in the client’s environment with knowledge of Cognizant’s competitors as well as broad drivers in client’s business
• Expected to have a high-level technical knowledge to explain business problems to Cognizant internal teams and cascade information in most lucid form
• Review Solution and estimate for new opportunities
• Assist account managers/client partner in related business development activities to grow mindshare and market share in the account
• Reporting to our internal senior management or leadership teams on the Overall engagement (across different dimensions like delivery, bid management, staffing, financials etc.)
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, and profitability of accounts. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify cross/up selling opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to drive revenue growth
• Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to portfolio and project management.
**Required Qualifications:**
• 12+ years in strategy, operations, process consulting, stakeholder management, project/ program delivery within legacy modernization or digital transformations
• Possess extensive experience in portfolio management and portfolio & project management (PPM);
• Proven experience, insight, and credibility in the Credit Union domain in Canadian market
• Experience in technology delivery projects in handling large delivery engagements
• Excellent client management, relationship building and escalation management skills
• Ability to have tough conversations on critical project deliverables / timelines / scope and negotiate on behalf of Cognizant
• Grooming Engagement Leads/Project Managers
• Strong exposure to SDLC and agile methodologies
• Ability to multitask, collaborate, resolve conflicts and react in a fast-paced, diverse and matrixed organization
• Consistent track record of achieving profitability metrics by using various levers such as pyramid optimization, scope monetization, on: off ratio, etc.
• Ability to expand portfolio through incremental business development activities and partnering closely with account team and client stakeholders
• Understanding of financial management, revenue forecasting and profitability management
• Global delivery model knowledge and experience
• Show a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in portfolio and project management.
**Required Education:** Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters degree strongly preferred
**Work Authorization:** Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $152,000 – $190,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
