**About The Role:**
As a member of the GSS DAS team, you will have the opportunity to drive the analysis behind various operations and product-related decisions @ Uber. You will perform a range of activities demonstrating your analytical thought leadership and will be involved in Program Managing multiple data-driven projects.
**What You Will Do:**
The ideal candidate is experienced working with large data sets and data visualization, as well as being passionate about data and analytics. Following would be what you will do day-to-day:
01. Develop end-to-end analytical solutions using large, complex data sets — from data extraction and transformation to visualization and storytelling.
02. Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
03. Design and maintain KPI tracking systems to monitor complex, cross-functional business metrics across Uber’s global operations.
04. Lead deep-dive analyses to inform product strategy, operational efficiency, and growth opportunities.
05. Build and maintain dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and stakeholder alignment.
06. Drive experiment design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis to evaluate product and business impact.
07. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to define goals, interpret data, and influence decision-making.
08. Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and reporting processes for stakeholders, enabling scalable, self-serve solutions that reduce operational overhead and improve decision-making speed.
09. Lead vendor data analysts in project execution and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
10. Build documentation and drive long-term process improvements, contributing to team-wide best practices and operational excellence.
**What You Will Need:**
1. Bachelors or M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
2. Minimum 4 years experience working in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role
3. Strong business and product sense: ability to shape complex, vague questions that touch multiple product/project areas into well-defined analyses that drive business decisions
4. Advanced SQL and Python expertise
5. Advanced experience with dashboarding/data visualization (i.e. Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker or similar).
6. Ability to work in a self-guided manner and deliver on tight timelines and prioritize tasks while maintaining quality and detail.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with partners coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. Experience in experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis, data modelling and statistical analysis.
2. Data engineering/pipeline creation experience.
3. Experience managing projects across large, ambiguous scopes and driving initiatives in a fast moving, cross-functional environment.
4. Experience working with Product and Engineering teams
