Job Overview

The Program Management Lead is a senior professional responsible for managing large programs from initiation through delivery. The role involves planning, coordination, and oversight of day-to-day program activities, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Citi is looking for a team player who is enthusiastic, highly analytical, and able to apply structured problem solving in different business areas. Experience in management consulting (with a top-tier firm or in a strategic corporate role) is highly valued. Credit risk / financial services experience is a plus. A track record of delivering large transformation projects in large or complex organizations is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working across different types of program management and the flexibility to seamlessly move between business analysis and project management as needed..

Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities for assigned programs or portfolios.Apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to define scope, break down issues, and develop practical solutions across different business areas.Ensure program plans, charters, and execution plans meet business needs.Build relationships with stakeholders and while ensuring they understand scope, timelines, and milestones.Work with program sponsors to confirm that business cases that align with objectives.Ensure teams are properly staffed and resources committed.Escalate risks to the Program Director or Sponsor as needed; maintain risk management plans.Works with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close program contracts.Recommend training and development for assigned staff.Review team performance and make recommendations for promotions, pay, or other personnel actions.Manage budgets and resources effectively.Ensure required procedures are followed and standards met.Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and address control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of experience in consulting, transformation, or program management in large organizations.Required Licensing/Registration: Series 6

Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply them in different business contexts.Team player with an enthusiastic approach to tackling challenges.Preferred experience managing different types of programs and adapting to varied projects across businesses.Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and adapting to changing priorities.Ability to handle both business analysis and project management responsibilities seamlessly.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Negotiation skills and a can-do attitude.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, and ability to create stories using narrativesData analysis utilizing data visualization tool is a plus.Credit risk or other risk stripes experience is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
